CAMPAIGN FOR REAL ALE Peterborough & District Branch
WHERE ARE WE
The Festival is held in massive marquees on the river embankment in Peterborough. The site is only a few minutes walk from Peterborough railway station and the bus and coach stations.

The address is: The Embankment (Behind Key Theatre), Embankment Road, Peterborough, PE1 1EF
Here is the site on Google Maps. The satellite photograph for this bit of map was taken after the Festival. You can see the faded grass where the marquees were sited. This map will be updated with new photographs at some point so I have stored the image in our photograph album.
Here we are again on streetmap.
Taxis are available at the railway station and bus station and we provide a taxi rank near the Key Theatre at the entrance to the Embankment. We do not allow taxis on to the Embankment (excepting those used by wheelchair users) for the safety of our pedestrian customers.
If you are travelling by public transport then you can plan your rail journey on the National Rail site or your bus/coach journey on the Traveline site.
The following train companies run to Peterborough: East Coast, First Capital Connect, East Midlands, Cross Country. For local buses PBT is the best option.
If you are travelling by car then please be aware that we do not have parking for customers (We do have limited parking for our volunteers) but that there are public car parks close by. Please don't drink and drive.
If you wish to stay overnight in Peterborough, there is some information about B&Bs and hotels on the Peterborough Council's Visit Peterborough website. Alternatively, contact the Tourist Information Centre, 9 Bridge Street, Peterborough PE1 1HJ, PE1 1XS. Tel: 01733 452336 or Email. Be warned - the B&Bs fill up quickly for Beer Festival week.
Should you be travelling by boat then there are free moorings on the River Nene at the side of the Festival.
We do not have any camping facilities on the Festival site except for our volunteers (and that is very limited). The closest camp/caravan site is Ferry Meadows Caravan Club, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU. Just about walkable. If you have transport then you could consider camping at The Plough, Milk & Water Drove, Ramsey Road, Farcet Fen, PE7 3DR.
