17th-century coaching inn which retains many original features. Consists of three small inter-connecting low beamed rooms, decorated with brass and copper. Piano, two log fires. Large patio garden for the summer months where live music on Sundays and barbecues are held on bank holidays and some Fridays. Quiz on Tuesdays nights. Eight B&B rooms if you fancy a stopover. Food available 12-2 Tue-Fri, Sun; 12-6 Sat; 6.30-9 Mon-Sat. Described by Stamford Living as "the most improved pub in Stamford". Burghley Estates are to renovate the Bull and Swan (£200,000) and are setting up a new company which will run the 6 pubs and 2 hotels (one of which is the Lady Anne's) that they own as a freehouse chain.
