Discount beer at two more branch pubs
Charters, Peterborough and the Brewery Tap, Peterborough are offering 20p a pint discount on real ale to all card carrying CAMRA members.

Good news for all CAMRA members! As of 23rd June, Stonegate Pubs will be offering a 10% discount to all CAMRA members who can show their membership card, this discount will apply to all of their real ales and craft beers.

This offer will extend to the Sir Henry Royce in Peterborough and the Old Griffin, March

Cider Pub of the Year
Congratulations to the Letter B in Whittlesey. Not only is the pub the Peterborough & District Branch Cider Pub of the Year it has just been awarded Cambridgeshire Cider Pub of the Year. Well done to Bruce and his team.

Star Brewery has achieved a win for their "Astral"

Astral was recently voted the "Best Light Beer" of the Harwich & Dovercourt Winter Beer Festival.

The Tendring branch of CAMRA are proposing a brewery visit in order to present the award officially. I have informed them that a local branch Welcoming Party would like to join up with them for the visit. I will post the date as soon as it is agreed. Congratulations to Star Brewing.

New Branch Awards for 2015!
There are two new CAMRA awards to aim for this year! Not only do we have the annual coveted Branch Pub of the year, (currently held by The Hand & Heart in Highbury Street), but we now have a Branch "Cider Pub of the Year" award, and a "LocAle Pub of the Year".

John Rice
Some of you will already know, but for everyone else, I have to pass on the sad news that John passed away last Saturday 28th June, after a battle with cancer. He will be much-missed by all members at the Peterborough branch and beyond. Condolences to Jackie, the boys and the rest of the family. Rest in peace, dear John
